Real Estate Optimization – “Place-Making” Economic Strategies

The University of Washington Real Estate Club, in partnership with SAP, Commercial Brokers Association, and SVN present an academic and professional Symposium on optimization of public and private real estate assets to generate more economic development and demand for real estate through innovative “place-making” strategies.

B4 Consulting will participate on a Symposium panel that will examine how collaborative, regional “place-making” strategies can transform undervalued urban neighborhoods. These strategies will drive public and private real estate asset optimization, attract more companies/entrepreneurs, and create inclusive social and economic value to regional stakeholders.

Measuring the impact that public and private real estate assets can have on enterprise value, earnings, operating budgets, capital scarcity, and productivity has never been more important in today’s age of “paycheck to paycheck” management to please Wall Street and the capital markets. Panelists will share the qualitative and quantitative analytics of an SVN – SAP co-innovation, CREED (“Corporate Real Estate Earnings Diagnostic”) plus SAP Real Estate applications that help enterprises align business strategies with real estate decisions, enhance liquidity, shareholder value and productivity, and ensure that public and private real estate assets are optimized.

Symposium Speakers from the B4 Consulting Team and Partner Ecosystem

Tom Anderson, Global Solution Owner for SAP Real Estate Management solution used by commercial, residential and corporate real estate organizations around the world. Responsible for identifying trends in the increasingly complex real estate industry, working with customers to understand how they are impacted by these trends and coordinating with SAP product owners to develop solutions. Tom supports sales teams globally and educating them on the SAP real estate solution.

John Chapman is the Industry Lead for the B4 Consulting Real Estate practice. Expert in SAP solutions for Real Estate, John has more than a decade’s experience in the SAP Flexible Real Estate module and the integration of Real Estate to Finance, Plant Maintenance, Project Systems and CRM. John has led successful projects at AT&T, the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey, Verizon, The Minto Group, Dominion Power, and Northwest Natural Gas.

David J. Wilk, CRE, MAI, is National Chair of the SVN Corporate Real Estate Advisory Group. David taught as an Adjunct at the University of Delaware for 24 years and is currently at Johns Hopkins Carey collaborating on Real Estate Optimization Strategy and City Labs.
